Aesthetic is defined as the emotional response felt when encountering a piece of media (primarily art and beauty) through all the sense of the human body.
Background
The term aesthetic began as a philosophical term created by the Greeks which was later coined in the 18th century by German philosopher Alexander Baumgarten, and was meant to be based on the idea of perception.
Aspects of Aesthetic
Color
Color has the ability to affect mood and perception of art, in terms of media and visual media especially, color is meant to signify emotion and simulate different sensations.
Lighting
Light provides strong senses of symbolism, in which light or lack there of can mean a variety things from salvation to damnation. Light can also be used to direct attention to a certain focal point in a medium or to induce feelings like fear and anxiousness.
