Ideology is a prison for the mind. It is a wide-scale system of ideas that unconsciously shapes and constrains our beliefs and behaviors. It is the ruling ideas of society.
Background
Ideology is a collection of beliefs held by a person, group, or society. It can be said to be a set of conscious and unconscious ideas which make up someone's beliefs.
