Meliorism is the idea that humans make the world a better place. This idea of humans making the world better demonstrates that as humans we believe that we are the ones to improve everything. [1]
Background
This concept is another important idea of Pragmatism since demonstrates the recognition that there are ways of improving the life and place we live in. [2] Philosopher John Dewey used meliorism to understand American education and figured out ways to solve the problems it was facing.
